Well not a lot of weight loss at all last week! Just 200g :( Well I didn't expect much, but I was hoping for more, definitely!
So, I have 2 months to lose 16kg OMG (and I have a kitten that just won't stop jumping on my lap as I try to type!). Anyhow, this week is time to kick myself into gear BIG TIME. Yes, I exercised every day last week (Monday to Friday) but I didn't do EPOC when I should have. SO this week, I will do my every day exercise PLUS EPOC on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. There will be NO EXCUSES for not doing this!!
My diet also needs kicking into gear a lot ;) But as I said, I'm going to try for 90% raw vegan for the remainder of the challenge. I have been having herb tea with honey, but I will have to forego the honey I think, as although it's better than sugar it's still full of simple carbs. I have some stevia powder somewhere that I will use as sweetener instead. Honey is yum in herb tea, but during weight loss I guess I should avoid it as much as possible! I also have to be careful how much fresh food I eat vs not fresh and vs cooked. I have said 90% but it's challenging to determine EXACTLY wht 90% constitutes. I have figured that if all I eat cooked during the day is one vegie burger or vegie sausage, and the rest is raw then it should be close to 90%. I do have some rye wraps to finish eating though... so I will probably have one of those. OH and I also have protein powder that isn't raw. When I've finished this protein powder, I will buy some raw protein powder (it's a bit more expensive though, so I'd better get really stuck into work this week so I can get PAID!!)
Oooh I did get paid for some work I did awhile ago! So if I get more work done this week I should get more money which will be good! Then I will have to go bid on some more freelance jobs to get MORE work and thus MORE income. Gee being a freelancer is fun ;) I also want to get stuck into writing another book and try and get published (this is my ULTIMATE outcome). Ooh so much to do and so little time!
Well I will do my EPOC soon, just having some green tea first (for the caffeine lol), I'm trying it with Stevia to see what it's like (I have some powdered stevia rather than stevia extract, which a few people use) the powder is odd, because it's really just powdered stevia leaf, so it's green and errm... well it doesn't dissolve, so it kinda leaves a green patina in the cup. Anyway, I have plenty of it, so it's sort of an experiment here to see if tea is okay with stevia instead of honey or agave nectar, or something else that's more calorie rich.
PHEW! Done my EPOC, and I think overall I did quite well! Managed all exercises at 3 x 20 sets, even those shoulder presses (which are real buggers!) I need to get really stuck into these exercises, because I do feel that the few lots I have done have improved the strength and tone in my arms. I used to go to the gym a lot, but can't afford it now ($$$ or time), so this is a great alternative BUT I have to be regular AND I have to push myself!
Well I have to say today is going quite well! Eating has been 100% good ;) That's something for me! The aim is to KEEP IT UP. I need to put health as a very high priority on my list, and that means eating well, exercising, keeping positive mindset etc. etc.
My only issue right now is a SORE LOWER BACK. Hmm... not sure why I have it?? I am trying to resist the temptation to take a painkiller!
Well I gave in and had a painkiller :P oh well, sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do! I guess when I am healthier and less prone to aches and pains (to be fair, I don't think I get as many now as I used to), I won't need to rely on drugs to take the pain away!
